Growing up Together has as its central theme the harmonious development of primary school children in relation to issues and situations that make them vulnerable under risky and violent circumstances. The show focuses on infants parents and teachers alike by addressing the contexts of assertive management and expression of emotions in children, helping them to regulate and control their impulses, promoting human values, self-esteem, personal security and social integration, handling bullying, building harmonious, peaceful and inclusive family relationships, and seeking a culture of peace and respect for gender equity.

Growing up together merged from the success of the Secretariat of Public Education’s National School Coexistence Program, which managed to reduce violent behavior among girls and boys in primary schools by 27% and improved the school climate by 30% in 90,000 schools. The project involved 16 million students at federal level, as well as the entire educational community. The central idea is to continue reducing risky behaviors and improving the quality of life and the integral development of children and young people.This new project is aiming at globally expanding this knowledge through television and ICT to increase the social benefit and care for our children.
