The series chronicles the adventures of Sofia Luna, a young physics student, in her fight against chief villain Otto Van Carpio, who strives to plunge Villa Rugosa into total chaos. Intelligent and science-savvy  Sofia is recruited as a Special Agent at the Universal League of Scientists vs. Chief Villains (LUCA), . With the help of  her little brother, Pato, Sofia Luna gets on a mission to stop the evil plans of Van Carpio and his assistant Bulmaro. The young woman is instructed by Special Agent Juliet, who travels through space aboard the LEIKA 1 ship, and who in turn receives information about what is happening on Earth, by Agent “Y”, also from LUCA.

Sofia Luna, Special Agent is a series  which combines science, fun and suspense, while conducting scientific experiments. The experiments are explained  scientifically in a simple way to enable young viewers to try them at home, under the supervision of an adult  to amaze their family and friends. In this series you will find adventure, entertainment, life in space, optical illusions and experiments with laser beams, rockets and much more.

The series  has been supervised by Dr Julieta Fierro, researcher at the UNAM Institute of Astronomy and winner of UNESCO’s Kalinga Prize for the Popularization of Science, one of the leading authorities in Mexico in her field, who has given her scientific advise on the content and made her acting debut.
